Tapeless, DVDless Camcorder

As I mentioned before, this site is now a personal site and the main 5twenty8 is where one can find postings dedicated to Scriptural learning. Though I will also post “religious” natured posts here. That being said, I wanted to post about this camera that was purchased for the 5twenty8 DVD teaching project.
The first thing that I must mention is that there is no need for tapes or discs! My family owns a DVD camcorder, but the disc media has limitations. With this camcorder, you just plug it into a USB port and it looks like a 30GB jump drive. You can drag and drop your videos right to your computer and the video capture process is over. You’re ready to store, watch, edit or burn to DVD. This has been such a time saver.
The picture quality is great and you can even take 3mp stills. I don’t really need that feature, but it’s there. I’ve created some test DVD’s using this camera and some great video editing software (which I will post about also). It has been a wonderful experience. Skipping the capture process is the best and I never have to worry about a full tape or disc. If you’re looking for freedom from tapes, discs and the capture process, I think this camera is worth a look.
