Thanking David
September 29th, 2005Adonai has blessed me in my life many times though I have never done anything to deserve His blessings. (Can we ever really?) When I started 5twenty8 as an outreach site, I had some lofty goals of teaching Christians the truths Adonai had revealed to me. I knew it would not be easy to tell Christians that much of what they believed was incomplete or inaccurate. It was not easy for me to accept, when I heard the truth. Along the way, He had revealed more to me (through Erik) and caused me to look deeper into my new found beliefs and myself. One of my original intents was to put together videos and offer them on DVD and online, free of charge (never copyrighting). Many things slowed down that vision, including unexpected financial situations.
During the last two years of my new life, I’ve lost some friends and gained some. One friend that Adonai has put in my path (or I in his) is David. I met David while undergoing training for Java development at my job. We kept in touch somewhat after the training. I contacted David for help one day with some J2EE structuring, only to find out that he was teaching at my place of work and would be in town for three days! What are the chances? After many conversations about Theology, Doctrine, JAVA and XML… we have developed a good friendship. To shorten this long story, David has recently, generously, contributed to the mission of spreading Adonai’s truth through professional video editing software and equipment. He has also offered to provide server space to deliver videos if needed! Not only has he given, but given with enthusiasm. Adonai has truly brought the two of us together and given me a great friend and mentor. I feel I owe my success as a Java developer to David’s tutelage. He is a friend who continually gives and gives and never asks in return. I consider David a partner at 5twenty8. Praised be Adonai for such a friend and brother in Yeshua!
Give, and it shall be given to you. A good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over shall be put into your lap. For with the same measure with which you measure, it shall be measured back to you.
