When I developed the 5twenty8 logo, I wanted something different and meaningful, yet simple. Before I actually knew what I wanted, I knew what I did not want. The common place crosses, open Bible, dove with olive branch, globe, etc., were things that, as a whole, I wanted to avoid. That is not to say that there is anything wrong with them exactly; I have simply seen them everywhere. So what you see above is the result; fairly unique, simple, easily identifiable and meaningful.

Since I mentioned that the logo is meaningful, it probably makes sense to explain the meaning. First is the name in the logo. You will notice the word 5twenty8; this stands for the name of the site 5twenty8.com (tough one, huh?) which bears the verse number of Yochanan (John) 5:28.

“Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the tombs shall hear His voice,
Yochanan (John) 5:28

Second is the Magen David (shield of David, or as it is more commonly known, the Star of David). This quite simply refers to with whom Elohim (God) made His covenant, Yisra’El (Israel).

“See, the days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisra’El and with the house of Yehudah,
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 31:31

For finding fault with them, He says, “See, the days are coming,” says YHVH, “when I shall conclude with the house of Yisra’El and with the house of Yehudah a renewed covenant, Ivrim (Hebrews) 8:8

For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Messiah, for it is the power of Elohim for deliverance to everyone who believes, to the Yehudite first and also to the Greek.
Romans 1:16

Next is the fish symbol surrounding the Magen David. This represents three themes concerning the Gentiles:

One is the “grafting in” of the Gentiles. (see Romans 11)

However, it is not as though the word of Elohim has failed. For they are not all Yisra’El who are of Yisra’El, Romans 9:6

And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Avraham, and heirs according to promise. Galatians 3:29

And because you are sons, Elohim has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, also an heir of Elohim through Messiah. Galatians 4:6-7

For you are all sons of Elohim through belief in Messiah Yeshua.
Galatians 3:26

Two, is the deceit (from WITHIN The Body) of His sheep and their drifting away from Yisra’El and The Torah.

“Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide — and the way is broad — that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it. “Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it. “But beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves. “By their fruits you shall know them. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? “So every good tree yields good fruit, but a rotten tree yields wicked fruit. “A good tree is unable to yield wicked fruit, and a rotten tree to yield good fruit. “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. “So then, by their fruits you shall know them — “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens. “Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ “And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’ Mattithyahu (Matthew) 7:13-23

You, then, beloved ones, being forewarned, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the delusion of the lawless, but grow in the favor and knowledge of our Master and Savior Yeshua Messiah. To Him be the esteem both now and to a day that abides. Amein.
2Kefa (Peter) 3:17-18)

See to it that no one makes a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary matters of the world, and not according to Messiah.
(Colossians 2:8)

“And to the messenger of the assembly in Laodikeia write, ‘The Amein, the Trustworthy and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of Elohim, says this: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth. “Because you say, ‘Rich I am, and I am made rich, and need none at all,’ and do not know that you are wretched, and pitiable, and poor, and blind, and naked. “I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, so that you become rich; and white garments, so that you become dressed, so that the shame of your nakedness might not be shown; and anoint your eyes with ointment, so that you see. “As many as I love, I reprove and discipline. So be ardent and repent. (Revelation 3:14-19)

Three, is the repentant attitudes of the Gentiles and their return to Yisra’El and The Torah.

“Thus said YHVH of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all languages of the nations take hold, yea, they shall take hold of the edge of the garment of a man, a Yehudite (Jew), saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that Elohim is with you.” ‘ “Zekharyah (Zechariah) 8:23

O YHVH, my strength and my stronghold and my refuge, in the day of distress the gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers have inherited only falsehood, futility, and there is no value in them.” Would a man make mighty ones for himself, which are not mighty ones? “Therefore see, I am causing them to know, this time I cause them to know My hand and My might. And they shall know that My Name is YHVH!”
Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 16:19-21

Lastly, concerning the fish and the Magen David, you will notice they are in the shape of a flame. This shape is to represents Yeshua’s command to be a light to the world.

“You are the light of the world. Mattithyahu (Matthew) 5:14

The last part of the logo is the “W” in the word “twenty”. This is comprised of two pieces. The first piece represents Messiah’s first coming to take away our sins.

On the next day Yochanan saw Yeshua coming toward him, and said, “See, the Lamb of Elohim who takes away the sin of the world! Yochanan (John) 1:29

The second piece is to represent Yeshua as The Lion returning to receive us unto Him.

And one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. See, the Lion of the tribe of Yehudah, the Root of David, overcame to open the scroll and to loosen its seven seals.”Revelation 5:5

Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air — and so we shall always be with the Master. 1Thessalonians 4:16-17

These two pieces together represent the work accomplished through Messiah. They form a crown representing the crown of life for each of us that love Him.

Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him.
